I'm still not quite sure a) why this behavior changed, as it didn't seem to be an issue until 6-9 months or so ago, and b) quite what "rewriting all tags" is, and why it's not simply the default behavior? Can it be made to be? Not a huge deal, but unless I'm missing something, this'd be nice, and since my use scenario is not-at-all atypical, it might also save others the same problems. On first attempt, this suggestion indeed seems to work (and *not* doing this with the same file produced the old, non-fuctional result), so I'm happy to change this to a 5-star review. ***My follow-up: Thank you for the response.
